Toyota Unveils New Prius In India

Japanese carmaker, Toyota unveiled the new Prius in India at the Auto Expo 2016. The new Prius is headed to India however the carmaker didn’t disclose the launch details and prices. Toyota has however revealed the specs and key features of the Prius.

Toyota has never been into volumes with the Prius in India however the manufacturer boasts of 3.5 million units of Prius hybrid cars sold worldwide till date. The Indian market is not prepared for such a vehicle at a high asking price. The Prius currently retails at an ex-showroom, Delhi price of about Rs 38 lakh for the Z5 grade and Rs 39.80 lakh for the Z6 version.


Toyota has an aim with the Prius, and that is to create Hybrid awareness across stakeholders including customers, the govt., regulation authorities on the benefit of Hybrid Technology.
