The fifth edition of Maruti Suzuki SUPRA SAEINDIA has concluded with “Kratos Racing” from P.C.College of Engineering, Pune awarded as the winners. “The Interceptors V2.0” from Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute of Technology, Pune were adjudged runner up and with “Amrita Racing” from Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore declared second runner up team. The contest was held at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida where the champions lifted the trophy after a well fought encounter.
SUPRA is a platform for students to utilize their engineering acumen and manufacture a Formula category vehicle within the defined performance and safety specifications. The event, Maruti Suzuki SUPRA 2916, organized annually by SAEINDIA,, was held over five days, from July 5th, 2016 to July 9th, 2016 with participation of over 3500 engineering students from 125 teams.
The best woman participant award went to Ms. Davindrvjit Kaur from GDEC College while team “AIOUS formula student” from IGIT walked away with the trophy for the team with the maximum number of women participants.
