2014 Honda City is India's most fuel-efficient car

In 2013, Honda Amaze bagged the title of India's most fuel-efficient diesel car thanks to Honda's 1.5-lt Earth Dreams diesel engine that clocked a mileage of 25.8 kmpl. Now, Honda has managed to extract more out of the same engine in the new 2014 Honda City that now returns an ARAI rated fuel-efficiency of 26.7 kmpl.

Honda City is powered by the same 1.5L i-DTEC Earth Dreams diesel of the Amaze. But due to a 6-speed transmission in the new 2014 Honda City, the company has managed to make the diesel engine more frugal. Now the 1.5-lt engine mated to a 6-speed transmission returns an ARAI fuel-efficiency of 26.7 kmpl making the new 2014 Honda City the most fuel-efficienct diesel car in India.

As we have written extensively about the exterior and interior features of the new Honda City, the top-end VX model of Honda City will be equipped with a Push button start/stop, a standard sunroof, alloy wheels, automatic climate control system, a new 2 DIN integrated audio system which will support USB, auxiliary port as well as i-pod. Moreover, Honda City will have a Bluetooth, rear AC vents, and dual front airbags and for safety and will be equipped with ABS and EBD.
