Ten Fastest Production Cars In The World

There’s always been a debate about which supercar being the fastest or quickest. There’s a difference between being fast and being quick. Fastest means having the highest top speed achieved by the car and quick means how quickly it can go from 0-100 Km/Hr. We’ll talk about the fastest of them all.

Supercars have always been a thing that we all have loved at least once in our life. Twelve year olds worship the big sized posters of Lamborghinis on their bedroom walls while teenagers watch every possible video on all the supercars out there on you tube and adults visit the racetracks to catch a glimpse of these fast, mean and beautiful machines while few end up spending their life’s savings in exchange for a supercar that is both uncomfortable and nowhere close to being economical yet being very proud and happy about their decision. But even then, supercars (fastest or not) are loved everywhere no matter the age or sex.

We here at CarSizzler HQ were having a discussion about the fastest car out there, so without arguing too much over it, I was told to do a write-up about these beautiful and expensive beasts. So here’s the list.

We’ll start from #10.

Aston Martin One-77

#10 Aston Martin One-77

British Astons are known for being fast, luxury rich and exclusive supercars and the One-77 is the fastest Aston Martin, so its very special. Also very special as only 77 of these were made, also making it the most expensive Aston Martin ever, this Aston work of art that can go up to 354 km/hr and go from a full stop 0 - 100 in 3.4 seconds also comes with an extremely fat price tag of Rs. 20 Crores. It has a 7.3L V12 engine that produces a 750 BHP of power.

#9 Lamborghini Aventador LP-700-4

This beautiful looking raging bull from Italy is the replacement for the previous beast “Lamborghini Murcielago” and it has done a pretty good job at it. Aventador

Don’t mistake this car for being at #10 for being bad, we’re are listing only the fastest car and not the most famous and loved supercar otherwise Aventador would rank #2. This baby tops out at 356 km/hr, goes from 0-100 km/hr in 2.9 seconds and costs between Rs. 3.90 - 4.78 Crores, powered by 6.5L V12 engine giving out 700 BHP power.

#8 Noble M600

Small scale British sports car manufacturer, Noble, virtually has nothing inside in terms of technology, no air conditioner, no music system and airbags are out of the question. With only 50 made each year and a price tag of Rs.1 Crore 60 Lakhs and upwards it can reach a top speed of 362 km/hr and a 0-100 km/hr in 3 seconds with a 4.4L V8 Volvo engine giving out 650 BHP of power.

#7 McLaren F1

Best part about this car and also my favourite is the fact that it has a central driving position, meaning the driving seat is right in the middle of the car. A perfect driving position if you ask me and many other McLaren F1 lovers, although I have never driven one but I can only imagine how awesome the drive would feel considering an equal viewing angle on both sides of the street. The car looks stunning as well while reaching speed of upto 372 km/hr and capable of going from 0 - 100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds. It has a 6.1L V12 from BMW churning out 610bhp.Koenigsegg CCX

#6 Koenigsegg CCX

Runs on a Koenigsegg developed 4.7L V8 Twin-Supercharged producing over 800 BHP hitting a top speed of 400 km/hr with 0 - 100 in 3.2 seconds. I know you are wondering where the Swedish car maker’s latest mean machine, the Agera is, we’ll come to that, patience. :) The CCX was a close call for the rank #1 car back in the day.

#5 Ferrari LaFerrari

You got it right; the car is actually as awesome as the name goes “LaFerrari”. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2013, this was a definite show stopper. Only 499 of these will be built. Hasn’t been tested yet but Ferrari claims it will cross 300 km/hr. Gives out 950 BHP of power from a Ferrari developed 6.3L V8. The chances of you ever actually seeing one on streets is very less, since only 499 will be made and I don’t think those owners will be driving to work in this car each day!

#4 Pagani HuayraPagani Huayra

A hypercar who’s name you can’t pronounce? We’ll help you out- Its pronounced “Wai-Ra”. Meaning “god of the wind”. The name sounds right as this Pagani can reach speed upto 375 km/hr from it Mercedes AMG 6.0L V12 engine producing 720 BHP. Cost Rs 7.10 Crores and upwards which can go from 0-100 km/hr in 3.3 seconds. The Huayra came after Pagani’s previous beast, the Zonda.

#3 Koenigsegg Agera R

The Agera R can reach speeds of 418 km/hr and from 0-100 km/hr in 2.9 seconds and flies on a 5.0L V8 giving out 1099 BHP. The Agera is the most hated by the Bugatti family! As it has a higher top speed but no place to test it.

#2 Hennessey Venom GT

The Venom GT is not that famous as far as the supercar fame goes. But still can do a 418 km/hr from its 6.2L Turbocharged V8 producing a 1200 BHP. This supercar might be the only thing close to a Veyron killer.

#1 Bugatti Veyron SS

The Bugatti Veyron, with the SS meaning “Super Sports”. The unrivalled fastest production supercar with a top speed of 431 km/hr. It was tested at Volkswagen’s test track in Ehra-Lessien, Germany. It set a Guinness World Record for the fastest production car. 0-100 km/hr in 2.3 seconds is actually very quick as well. The engines specs are as follows- 8000cc (8L) W16 engine with 1200 BHP. The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport was launched in India with a price tag of Rs.12, 00,00,000 (Rs. 12 Crores).
